You MUST LISTEN to this interview I did with GYM OWNER and FOODIE Rhino Julie. We get into mindset, spirituality, and high vibrations. And I thought it was going to be about losing weight.
In my 20's I was obsessed with food, my weight, and having those 6 pack abs. And it turns out so was she. Both of us to point of where it affected our relationships, where would go and what what we could do.
There had to be a better way!
"And I think that's what clicked in my head. There's a million ways, millions of combinations to lose weight. And so there's a way to do it, where you enjoy it."
And this ties into her business too. "I realized recently that in our business, if we focus on the things that we enjoy. That move the needle. We get so much better results."
And there are so many things that move the needle that we enjoy in our business. And there's so many things that move the needle and we enjoy in our health and fitness. There is no need to torture ourselves in either lane.
She talks about how she started eating better. And how “all of a sudden, I loved everybody.” “Like I would love random people in the grocery store.”
She started loving herself. Giving herself that self love nutritionally, and so now she started loving everyone. “I was nourishing myself and it’s like the insides out type of thing.”
We talk about the power of letting go of judgement of people places and things. How for me it used to be a superpower, but now I don’t have the energy for it. And I am wrong most of the time anyway.
She adds that everyone is going along dong the best they can.
These days I'm thinking if we stop judging others we stop judging ourselves. Or stop judging ourselves we stop judging others. It’s the chicken or the egg. And does it matter?
She dives into letting go over expectations of others. Taking responsibility for all of her relationships. Raising her own vibrations in her relationships and in her business. And carrying that forward.
And then there's goals.
I'm “TIRED OF HAVING GOALS”. Her response is poignant.
“We all just want to be generally happy and feel at peace, right?"
That's what we want. And we can have it in millions of different ways. If we decide that the only way to get it is the hard way and by sacrificing . Well, we can probably get it that way. Or if we decide the only way we can get it as if we have $10 million dollars. And then we've got a slave away, and we work really hard to get it. IF WE BELIEVE THAT, then we will probably end up (with that).
"It's whatever we believe…and that's what we have.”
“As far as goals go. What happens is we make goals to satisfy other people. Or we make goals because other people are making goals. Or our goals fit in line with what other people's goals are.
And like you said, “money is made up, everything's made up”. So you don't have to have the goal of money. Everybody can decide to do it their own way. And it's fine and beautiful.”
She’s inspired by author Wallace Wattles and IMAGINING what you want.
What do we want to be doing? What do we want surrounding us? Who are the people we want surrounding us? And imagining as if that's already our life.
And then go into our workday. And what may be different for you is going into your work day KEEPING THAT FEELING. And saying, "what's the inspired action that I am led to do as the result of starting my day feeling into that?"
On shifting from wanting to work to WANTING TO CREATE. “I've always been driven to succeed. And so I would put in the work to succeed."
“But wanting to create is so much different. It doesn't have that frantic energy. It doesn't have the extreme highs and extreme lows and the sense of failure or success.”
Instead, the journey is beautiful. Because everyday, you're creating something that you want to create. Something that's that's fun.
Us being in our flow and creating and getting success from what we've created because we wanted to.
We woke up with a clear head and an open heart. And we were just ready. THAT’S A POWERFUL PLACE TO BE
A question from her to me. Am I too hard on myself? Why did she have to ask me that!?!?
So we go deep on higher powers and the ego :).
It's an awesome conversation.
Listen for the rest and I will leave you with this thought from her.
We can’t do it wrong. Start with your vision. And it’s ok if your vision changes everyday.
