It’s Fathers Day. I went from one squeaky chair to another. It might be time for a new intro for the podcast. Going through some insecurity around the podcast.
In regards to Fathers Day. I got a few texts. The boys mom sent me a text. “Happy Fathers Day! I could not think of a person in this world I would have rather raised my babies. You are walking into peace. You have been moving down the road to being the best person possible for so long and that has been reflected in your fatherhood. Nice Work!” How sweet is that?
My boys are 18 and 20, both out of high school. The main heavy lifting of fatherhood in this iteration is complete. and I got that very sweet text :). I got clean and sober at 17 and I have in recovery and trying to be of service and move with a higher power pretty actively for 35 years now. I think she was referencing that.
I do a lot of interviews right now. I have a lot of random people stop by. I have created a great environment for that. I hand wrote a sign “Recording! Please be quiet”. For when the randoms come by to say hi. I need that red "on air” light.
Waylon my 18 year old got me a fathers day present. a wood sign that says “Quiet! Bitch Slap in progress.” How fun is that?! That has got to be the most thoughtful gift ever.
Cooper Lee swung by. After dinner. All of a sudden there he was at the door. He came by to say his on fathers day. And he hung out for an hour and a half… We talked about shiny objects. Buying shiny objects that we didn’t need. Cars for him.
I don’t have the necessary growth I want for my podcast. Maybe it's my intro? Waylon and Dawn gave me commentary that my bitch slap intro may be a bit esoteric. Maybe I should make it to the point. In more layman’s terms. Vs the esoteric madness that it is. A friend said the intro music reminded her of Pigs In Space… Lol…
