I did a little walk this morning. Talking to my friend Bill O. A couple of hippies looked up and looked at me and asked “Did any ever tell you you look like Robert Plant?”.
I loved the Zep. I was all in on the Zep. I loved the Who and I loved the Stones. And some Van Halen, David Lee Roth Van Halen. Sabbath, Sabbath with OZZy. Ronnie James Dio. Band of the 70’s. I did like some Van Hagar, not enough to buy their records.
I literally know people who don’t know who Robert Plant is. I did hear I look like Owen Wilson, who’s on Loki. from my friend Mali Wood. No Kidding. Mali Wood.
When I lived in San Francisco, one of my roommates, back in the 90’s. Dated Owen Wilson who was in Bottle Rocket at the time.
There was the Metallica years. It was short lived though. When Master of Puppets came out, no good. I liked Ride the Lightning and Kill Em All. Accept, Balls To The Wall. You got your Balls To The Wall Man.
Kiss. Wild Cherry, Play that Funky Music, and that music service from the 70’s. The Star Wars album, ELO, Electric Light Orchestra, Boston,
I was all in on Kiss. Destroyer, Dressed to Kill. That crazy Dressed to Kill album cover. Styx, Renegade, Kansas, I was not a Kansas fan. ACDC, Bon Scott, loved them, but a late bloomer. You do enough drugs and drink enough beer, David Lee Roth can sound good. So can Bon Scott. Ah my drug addled youth. What a shit show it was.
One tale. My junior year of high school. I’d gotten a DUI in Idaho, this is all sealed by the way. I did a day or two stint in Idaho. At the time I was supposed to be in court in Jacson Wy, but I was in Jail in Idaho, so they put a warrant out for my arrest. Now you can see why I “quit the sauce” as they say.
