One of the funniest things that’s happened along the way happened today. I invited a speaker to the summit… And I have been communicating with a speakers assistant... The back and forth back and forth. So JB Owen was the speaker prospect and I have a 20 minute meet and great Zoom call w her. So she could suss out if I’m a worthy cause.
JB helps people get their stories on paper and publishes them… Writing can be obviously very cathartic. So I invited JB to speak on writing as a tool for a good life. A cathartic cool. And she’s very busy helping people publish books…
My follow up skills paid off… She believes in the mission. And I had scheduled the “pre call”
So I’m chatting with JB today and writing being cathartic… And she keeps inadvertently saying podcast. And I’ve got all these great people that can speak on your podcast like I am…
So she might have been thinking podcast episodes and I’m thinking summit speaker interviews. And it was like a Seinfeld episode, a total comedy of errors. So I still don’t know, I think her assistant knows, if we are talking podcast or summit! LOL. I think her assistant knows…
But I was frustrated because I wasn’t sure wether to update the speaker landing page with another confirmed speaker… And obviously I’m very excited to have JB on board as a speaker. One because I think she is amazing and two and time your follow up skills pay off it feels amazing.
I’m just going to act as if. I am just going to act as if she’s talking about the summit and me too. And so I’ll try to reconfirm it with the assistant… When the interview gets scheduled I’m just going to assume it’s for the summit…
But they have not scheduled the interview yet so all this worrying could be for not.
Amy Tran did confirm. As did a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu guy, Robert Drysdale. But again this is how it works “Don’t spend the money until the check is cashed.” So JB’s on board, Amy’s on board, Robert’s on board, but until it’s scheduled and they’ve recorded you never know. I totally could be pulling the trigger on this telling you so soon. But I’m willing to come back on and tell you that perhaps they weren’t able to come through.
(Spoiler alert! Amy Tran and Robert Drysdale did confirm and complete the summit interviews! JB Owen, well, she was not able to complete the interview after various scheduling shenanigans and 12th hour cancelations! But JB and I did have fun in our attempt to complete the interview.)
